Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kits for cytokines were purchased from Ebioscience (San Diego, CA). 4′,6-Diamidino-2-phenylindole dilactate (DAPI) was purchased from Sigma (St. Louis, MO). QIAamp Fast DNA stool mini kit was purchased from Qiagen (Hilden, Germany). Limulus amoebocyte lysate (LAL) assays was purchased from Cape Cod Inc. (East Falmouth, MA).
