The animal protocols were approved and permission was granted to perform animal experiments by the ACUC committee of the National Institute on Aging (ASP 321-LMBI-2022) under the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals (NIH Publication No. 86-23, 1985). AD transgenic mice (5–80 weeks of age, females) were bred, aged, and housed in the same, specific pathogen-free environment at the National Institute on Aging (NIA).
