UCSF Radiology and Biomedical Imaging Says “Thank You!” to Our Volunteer Clinical Faculty

During National Volunteer Week, April 16-22, 2023, we are delighted to recognize the 22 Volunteer Clinical Faculty who join us throughout the year to teach applied clinical and basic sciences for patient care. Each Volunteer Clinical Faculty is a clinician in the community and often a graduate of our training programs, who volunteers at least 50 hours each year. In 2022-23, our Volunteer Clinical Faculty will contribute more than 1,100 hours of hands-on instruction for our trainees.

Since 1977, our department has conferred an annual Outstanding Volunteer Clinical Faculty award. In 2022, Judong Pan, MD, received this award, nominated by trainees who observed that “Dr. Pan is an incredible teacher and excellent role model.
