The science regarding Alzheimer’s and other dementias is rapidly evolving. While all dementias involve a loss of cognitive functioning that is severe enough to interfere with daily life, each type has distinct features that merit consideration when developing public health policies and interventions.
During this webinar, Dr. Heather Snyder of the Alzheimer’s Association explained the major types of dementia including Alzheimer’s, Lewy Body, frontotemporal, Parkinson’s, mixed, and vascular dementias. Public health implications of these different types of dementia were also discussed.
Webinar originally broadcast on June 6, 2019 by the Alzheimer’s Association.
