Maureen Kohi, MD Accepts Position as Chair of the Department of Radiology at UNC Chapel Hill

I am honored to share that Maureen Kohi, MD, associate professor of radiology chief of Interventional Radiology, has accepted the role of Ernest H. Wood Distinguished Professor and Chair of the Department of Radiology at University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, effective December 31, 2020. While this is a bittersweet announcement for our department, I could not be prouder of Dr. Kohi’s leadership, accomplishments, and professional success. Dr. Kohi will conclude her service at UCSF on December 2, 2020.

Dr. Kohi received her undergraduate degree from Stanford University and her medical degree with honors from New York Medical College. She completed her Diagnostic Radiology residency at UCSF during which she completed a one-year research fellowship as a recipient of our NIH/NIBIB T32 Training Grant program (2008-2009).
