T.J. Oshie, in partnership with WARROAD, the Super Service Challenge, and NT Concepts, hosted a broomball tournament on Wednesday, February 5th at MedStar Capitals Iceplex, which raised over $40,000 for the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation (ADDF).
Oshie became involved with the ADDF as a result of his father’s struggle with Alzheimer’s disease, and was honored last year at the ADDF Great Ladies Luncheon in Washington D.C, where he delivered a message of hope, saying, “The Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation has given me and my family hope that with the advancement of medicine … we will one day prevent Alzheimer’s and find a cure.” At the February 5th fundraiser, Oshie continued to support a cause near and dear to his heart through his passion for hockey.
