Part 3 of 3 videos in which Dr. Steven Sabat of Georgetown University speaks about the importance of the language used to communicate with persons who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. He describes how the words we use can lessen the social stigmas associated with dementia. In this video Dr. Sabat discusses a case study that illustrates how normal behaviors are perceived differently after receiving an Alzheimer’s or other dementia diagnosis and how important it is to remember to treat these behaviors as normal.
