Declining incidence of dementia: A national registry-based study over 20 years

To our knowledge, this is the first complete national population study based on routine health care data to confirm trends in declining incidence of dementia that have previously been described in population-based research studies. For men and women in all age groups, incidence rates reached their peak values from 2003 to 2010, followed by a decline.
