Serum high-sensitivity C-reactive protein and dementia in a community-dwelling Japanese older population (JPSC-AD)

Study population

The JPSC-AD Study was a multisite, population-based, prospective, cohort study of dementia involving eight sites in Japan with a pre-specified protocol and standardized measurement methods across the research sites19,20,21,22. The study was conducted in accordance with the Strengthening the Reporting of Observational Studies in Epidemiology (STROBE) checklist. The Medical Ethics Review Board of Ehime University (approval number 1610004) and Kyushu University Institutional Review Board for clinical research (approval number 686-10) approved this study.
