Oligomeric tau is present in presynaptic and postsynaptic terminals in post-mortem brains from people with Alzheimer disease (AD), new research published in Neuron shows. The study, led by Tara Spires-Jones and Alberto Lleό, provides clues to the mechanisms that could underlie the propagation of AD pathology.
