Last month, Steven Hetts, MD was named a Fellow of the American College of Radiology (ACR). The UC San Francisco Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging would like to congratulate Dr. Hetts on this recognition. Only 15 percent of current College members have been awarded this honor.
Dr. Hetts is a professor in the Neurointerventional Radiology Section at UCSF Radiology. As co-director of the Interventional Radiology Research Laboratory, Dr. Hetts is involved in translating basic science and engineering research into clinical applicability. The main theme of his research is development of novel image-guided endovascular devices and techniques for the treatment of stroke, tumors, vascular malformations, and other conditions accessible through the blood vessels or skin.
