COVID-19: Dementia Challenges in Long-Term Care Settings

What are the unique vulnerabilities of people living with dementia and their caregivers during the COVID-19 pandemic, especially in long-term care settings? During this 30-minute webcast recording, experts from the Alzheimer’s Association and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention describe some of the challenges posed by dementia in nursing homes, assisted living, and other residential care settings. The presenters highlight 1) immediate steps to better protect health and safety for this population and 2) resources public health departments and their partners can use.
