Anthony Hamilton: Stand by Me | Alzheimer’s Association

Anthony Hamilton reinvents “Stand by Me” for the Alzheimer’s Association “Music Moments” album. In this behind-the-scenes video, Hamilton shares his personal connection to the song and his thoughts on the power of music to connect us to life’s most important moments.

“We all are stronger in numbers.”

R&B singer, songwriter, producer and Grammy Award-winner Anthony Hamilton has sold over 50 million albums worldwide. He has performed for former President Barack Obama at the “Smithsonian Salutes Ray Charles: In Performance at the White House” concert and lent his vocals to the song “Freedom” from the “Django Unchained” soundtrack.

Hamilton chose “Stand by Me” for “Music Moments” because it sparks beautiful memories of listening to the song with his grandmother, and because it carries a special message of support for everyone affected by Alzheimer’s. “When you’re going through things,” he says, “when you’re not at your strongest point, you want somebody to be there for you.”
