Modifiable Risk Factors: Vascular Risks

Public health initiatives that successfully address vascular health are likely to have a positive effect on reducing the risk of Alzheimer’s and other dementias. Dr. Mark Supiano from the University of Utah conducts a review of the evidence that what benefits cardiovascular health will have a positive effect on reducing the risk of all dementias.

Public health professionals and others promoting cardiovascular health in the community can benefit from this review of the current scholarly literature and evidence.

The Public Health Center of Excellence on Dementia Risk Reduction is made possible by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services as part of a financial assistance award totaling $733,487, with 100% funded by CDC/HHS, Grant # 5 NU58DP006912.
