First “Race, Ethnicity and Alzheimer’s in America” Report and Updated 2021 Alzheimer’s Facts & Figures Report

Newswise — The forthcoming 2021 Alzheimer’s Association Facts & Figures Report, as well as a new supplemental report “Race, Ethnicity and Alzheimer’s in America,” will be released March 2. Facts and Figures provides in-depth information on Alzheimer’s and other dementias in the U.S., including the latest stats on prevalence, mortality, costs, caregiving and other insights both nationally and with state by state data. Alzheimer’s and dementia impacts approximately 1 in 9 adults aged 65 and older in the U.S.  Black Americans are twice – and Hispanic Americans one and a half times – as likely as to have Alzheimer’s than whites.
