COVID-19: Dementia Challenges in Emergency Departments and Hospitals

What are the unique vulnerabilities of people living with dementia and their caregivers during the COVID-19 pandemic, especially in emergency departments and hospitals? During this 30-minute webcast recording, experts from the Alzheimer’s Association and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention describe some of the challenges posed by dementia in acute care settings. The presenters highlight 1) immediate steps to better protect health and safety for this population and 2) resources public health departments and their partners can use.
